The planning of the Fall Retreat is the responsibility of the Scholar Council, delegated to the rising GS1 class and has convened annually for many years. The agenda consists of a progress report for the past year including review of objectives and milestones; plan for the upcoming year; social time for networking; and faculty presentations on important topics. It is convened over a full-day on a Saturday in the Fall semester at a site on or near the Gainesville UF campus to allow all students to easily participate. Student attendance is required and faculty members from the Directorate and major committees will also be in attendance.
