Stephen I. Hsu, M.D., Ph.D.

Program Director, MD-PhD Training Program at UF-COM

Dr. Hsu was a member of the faculty of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School before joining the UF College of Medicine on July 1, 2007 as the R. Glenn Davis (DCI) Associate Professor of Clinical and Translational Medicine in the Division of Nephrology, Hypertension & Renal Transplantation, in the Department of Medicine and the new Director of the MD-PhD Training Program. He is an internationally recognized multi- and interdisciplinary clinician-scientist whose research interests include cell cycle regulation, the molecular genetics of renal and urologic diseases, and clinical trials of novel investigational agents. Dr. Hsu also holds a joint appointment as Research Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology and is the Co-Director of the pre-doctoral training program for the new campus wide Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI) based at the Health Science Center.
